Fender Rhodes Janus Suitcase Pre-amp
I used to think this was a Rhodes Suitcase pre-amp, but I have since learned that it is actually the pre-amp that came with the Rhodes Satellite speakers, later known as the Janus 1 System. That system was a pair of powered external cabinets meant to be used with the Stage model, so you could get stereo vibrato like a Suitcase model without having to haul around the whole Suitcase rig and then deal with miking it.
The pre-amp can be directly swapped out with the stock Stage preamp panel, turning it into a Suitcase top with effects loop and stereo vibrato. Cool!
It features the five pin XLR connector that goes to the speakers, accessory jacks, volume control, bass & treble and vibrato controls.
These were ordered new years and years ago and have been sitting around unused ever since. They are somewhat oxidized from being in my garage for 25 years or so, but otherwise still new. They use the later type 5-pin output.
