The Purple Wah Pedal
Okay, I don’t know where the hell this came from. It has that Dallas-Arbiter-esque Italian styling but also a vaguely Asian look. We took it in on trade because it just looked like it must be cool. So there’s the wah thing in the middle. Works fine. Sounds like a perfectly good wah. Then there’s the chorus side. Hmmm, sounds kinda wacky, with heavy modulation, sort of like a Univibe but with more seasickness...in a good way. It’s growing on me. And then I kick on the distortion side, expecting not much. Dang, this sounds good. In fact it sounds a lot like my Fulltone only...fuller. It sounds freaking excellent. I’m having a pretty good time playing Santana tunes with this thing, AND THEN I kick on the chorus too. Aiiieeee! Too much fun. I may have to keep this one.
