GNI Shred Pro Distortion

that sound?”The GNI SP1 Shred Pro Distortion Pedal is your vintage British solution. The distortion and overdrive ranges from just a little bit of grit to serious screaming. There are 3 bands of EQ for starters and in addition there's a cool 3-way mod switch that changes the overall sound from top boosted to cranked to fully scooped, pretty handy for going from, say, your Allman Brothers slide tone, straight into 80’s chunka chunka mode.
The Shred Pro also includes a seperate boost circuit, which can be used alone as a clean boost or in combination with the distortion to pop your lead out of the mix. The Shred Pro also features the True Buffer Bypass circuit that all GNI pedals have.
By the way, our resident lead guitar player tried one of the Shred Pro pedals in his rig when they first came in and he won’t give it back...
That’s the clean truth. I’m not exactly a shredder. I’m more like a Tube Screamer guy. But despite the stupid name, this pedal has replaced three others on my pedal board (Fulldrive, Zendrive, and Barber compressor). It just sounds so damn good. I use the clean boost for fills and the distortion side (on about 3) for my solo sound. And for maximum fun, with both sides on it’s instant Santana.
