Golden Palomino Dual P-90 Weissenborn Type Lap Steel
These are the first prototypes of our new Weissenborn style lap steel. We call it the Golden Palomino because that amber lacquer just looks so pretty in the sunlight.
It’s constructed with a flamey Maple top for bite and a lightweight Linden body for resonance. Both finished with amber lacquer. And because it’s what I’ve always wished I could get on a lap steel, it has two P-90 type pickups. It also has an adjustable and intonatable Badass type bridge, a Rosewood fingerboard with Maple position markers and also a Rosewood nut. It has a 25" scale like an early Rickenbacker, Weissenborn or the current Asher models.
It has a fully bound top, Gibson speed knobs and excellent sealed tuners.
