Fender 1964 P-Bass
You know how when you finally get a chance to play a pre-war Martin and you think, “Oh, I get it. It’s like a different universe.”
Since we got it in, 100% of the people who have played this ’64 P-Bass, have turned to me with a dreamy look and said some version of, “Oh...yeah, that’s it.”
Well, ya know some of ’em just have “it” and some don’t. The good news is that you can sort of almost afford this one because, while it most definitely has “it,” it’s also been refinished, has a Duncan pickup and a bit of a repair of a tuner screw crack on the headstock (shown in gory detail below). So you could actually go out and play the best bass in the world at your gig instead of leaving it under lock and key with armed guards and scary dogs all the time. See, it’s a good thing that some bonehead decided to refinish it natural. Otherwise, all parts and the case are right and original.
Comes with a picture of the original owner (back when it was still sunburst) onstage at Monterey in 1967.
Price: $3500.00
